500 Women Scientists Zurich (Founder & Coordinator local chapter )

500 Women Scientists is a USA-based organization that was created to promote and support women in science. Currently, more than 20’000 women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) from over 100 countries have pledged to build an inclusive scientific community dedicated to training a more diverse group of future leaders in science.

Key activities of the Zurich Chapter / Pod include:

  1. Kangaroo Goes Science – an annual event held at ETH Zurich for teenage girls
  2. Navigating the Stages of Academia – mentorship activities for women in STEM
  3. Network of Moms in Academia – a support group for moms
